Join us on campus to experience life as a Carnegie Mellon student!

Tartan Preview Day is your chance to learn about campus life, academics, the admission process and more at Carnegie Mellon. Several academic departments and campus offices are offering informational sessions or tours, and/or participating in our academic fair throughout the day. You can find participating departments and offices, as well as descriptions and locations of the various events in the schedule below. Event registrants will be provided meal vouchers to use at certain campus eateries. So be sure to leave time in your schedule to grab lunch!

In this session you will get tips from an admission counselor on how to build your college list, write your college essay and learn how colleges determine the class.

Take a student-led campus tour that showcases our classrooms, labs, makerspaces, campus landmarks and more, while getting an insider perspective on CMU from our Tartan Ambassadors.

Chemical Engineering Session and Tour

Join us for a faculty presentation followed by a student-led tour of the Chemical Engineering department. In this session, you’ll get an inside look at our program, life as a ChemE student, the careers it opens doors to, and the research experiences you can dive into as a student.

Information Systems Program Session
